The water in the canal owned by the State Hydraulic Works (DSI) that passes through the Kırklarsırtı District of Tarsus district in Mersin turned red for a period of time due to an unknown reason. After a while, the red color disappeared and the water became clear again. Authorities initiated an investigation in the area, suspecting chemical waste or animal slaughter as the cause.
